Hawu wishes good summer holidays!

We presented our new designs at the International Sportsmen’s Fair in Riihimäki/Finland this summer. Now that the hurdle has settled a bit, it is time to look ahead. We introduced new stove modes, a wood pellet stove and a wood stove.

The New Hawu Stoves

Above you can see the stove set that we displayed on the Riihimäki Fair. On the right you can see the World’s smallest wood-heated tent stove, Hawu Pelletti. And on the left is Hawu Halko, which is intended to be used with a more traditional chopped wood approach. Both stoves use a new roll pipe that we also introduced at the Fair.

Based on the feedback at the Fair, we are making small adjustments to the Pelletti stove and we shall introduce also different length versions to better support cooking/water boiling on the stove. We are currently ramping up the production and it seems that we are getting the first stoves out to customers in September.

Hawu Tents

We had three different tent models on display at the Riihimäki Fair: The all new Hawu Tunnel and two versions of the Hawu Eräteltta (Hawu-4 and Hawu-12, which is actually a Hawu-8 with an extender piece). All models were greeted by enthusiasm. It was great fun to see people crawling into the Tunnel to explore the Fair atmosphere from inside the tent.

We are currently up to our production limits with the tents, and your will need to wait until autumn in case you are interested in getting one of your own. We are working on a radical increase in production capacity, but this will take some time. For the time being the way to order tents happens through phone. Call Pasi at +358 40 580 8233. Hawu Eräteltta

Hawu Eräteltta is an innovative stove-heated shelter from Finland. The founding idea was to erect the tent around a living tree. This idea resulted in a tent, which is practical for versatile uses for hikers, scouts, and troops that seek a durable and portable shelter in harsh conditions. Hawu delivers quite a different experience as compared with traditional troop tents.

Hawu Tunneli

Hawu Tunneli is a stove-heated tent that sustains very harsh conditions. It is rugged, versatile, and simple. If you consider going on a demanding expedition or simply want to get your gear dry while on the move, you will appreciate the possibility to heat up the tent. The fabric is fire-retardant and it is safe to have a wood-burning Hawu heater inside.
